Scripture Anchors
βEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.β
Matthew 7:13 NIV
βI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.β
Psalm 32:8 ESV
βTrust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.β
Proverbs 3:5β6 NLT
The Vitamin
Ready or not, we are moving forward into a new year.
But are you moving forward β or playing catchβup?
Are there things you intended to do but never completed?
Are you stuck regretting last yearβs choices, mistakes, or missed opportunities?
We cannot change the future by clinging to the past, and we cannot move forward while looking backward.
Time waits for no one.
If youβre stuck in yesterday, itβs time to move forward.
βHow?β you may ask.
By looking to the hills β to the One who is your help (Psalm 121:1β2).
One of the biggest misβtakes believers make is looking to the world for direction.
But the world cannot lead you forward.
Its systems are designed by your enemy to keep you stuck in old behaviors, old patterns, and old mindsets.
The worldβs path is crowded β thatβs why itβs called the broad road.
It looks appealing because so many people are on it, but it leads nowhere good.
If youβre not praying, not listening for Godβs guidance, and not reading His Word, you will default to your own understanding.
And where has that gotten you before?
The popular phrase βIβm gonna do meβ is not in the Bible.
It didnβt come from God β it came from someone headed in the wrong direction.
The Heart Check
- Are you moving forward or circling the same mountain
- Are you following Godβs path or the worldβs path
- Are you trusting Him fully, or leaning on your own understanding
- Are you letting regret slow you down
When you trust the Lord with all your heart, there is no room for error β because He directs your steps.
The Call to Action
As you move into this year, choose the narrow path.
Choose the path led by the Lord.
Choose the path that leads forward β not backward.
Continue on with the right directions today. β€οΈ
