The Vitamin
I know you mean well, but let’s be honest:
- It’s not your job to tell your husband or wife how every little thing should be done.
Love doesn’t micromanage. - It’s not your job to keep doing everything for your adult children.
Teach them before they get there — and then let them walk. - It’s not your job to tell strangers how to drive from inside your own car.
They can’t hear you anyway.
(1 Thessalonians 4:4) - It’s not your job to give people “a piece of your mind.”
You need all of it. - It’s not your job to play psychiatrist and analyze people’s behavior.
You don’t know their whole story — only God does. - It’s not your job to be like Job, trying to figure God out.
Job 38 shows how far above us God truly is.
Instead…
Be like James, nicknamed “camel knees,” or like Elijah —
Get on your job praying for others, and let God do His job.
The Heart Check
- Am I trying to control what God never assigned to me?
- Am I stepping into roles that belong to the Holy Spirit?
- Am I correcting more than I’m praying?
- Am I assuming instead of interceding?
- Am I leading with pride instead of humility?
God calls us to humility, patience, and prayer — not control, critique, or commentary.
