But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness and their talk will spread like gangrene.
2 Timothy 2:16 – 17a ESV
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
Colossians 3:8 ESV

There are people that have a hobby of collecting things. People collect stamps! They collect different coins. People who can afford it collect very expensive cars! These things are valuable to them.
We generally collect things that we are attracted to. We may start off with a few things, and before you know it, we have to be cautious or specific about what we pick up, otherwise, your collections will begin to look like junk.
We can do that with our words. We need to be very cautious about the words we speak to and about others. We can start off with something we pick up about a person. Then, the more we pick up on, it begins to sound like junk….gossip. This can become a habit to the point where others recognize that you like to collect junk, and are very cautious with what they give to you as what they feel is valuable.
Are you treating people like they are valuable? Or just junk, by what you pick up on?
Remember, they are valuable to God….and He don’t make “no” junk.
Are you picking up on what I’m saying?
Are you a collector? Think about it…….today!
