The Vitamin

Many people think correction is negative — but according to the Word, it is essential.
And Scripture says the one who receives correction is actually happy.

The Bible uses words like discipline, reproof, and chastening.
These aren’t punishments — they are tools for growth.
If a person’s character is drifting away from the Word, correction becomes protection.

A child who is never corrected is deprived of the chance to learn early.
Without course correction, they may have to learn the hard way as adults.

But correction isn’t just for children — it’s for everyone.

Sometimes we don’t even recognize our own behavior because it has become a pattern.
Often, the person who tries to correct you cares enough to say something.
And if you’re listening, the Holy Spirit will correct you too.

We should want to know when we’re out of character, quenching the Spirit, or grieving Him — so we can get it right.

God corrects us because He loves us.
His correction is a warning, a redirection, a rescue — a way to keep us from future trouble.

The Heart Check

  • Are you avoiding correction?
  • Do you get offended when someone tries to help you grow?
  • Do you take correction as a personal attack instead of a loving warning?
  • Are you making excuses instead of making changes?

If you allow correction to sink in, it will open your eyes to truth.

The Call to Action

The next time someone tries to correct you, pause.
Listen.
Take heed.
Don’t make excuses — make adjustments.

It could literally save your life.
