The Vitamin
Before Christ, we learned to navigate life based on what we saw, felt, and absorbed from the world around us.
We learned from:
- Parents
- Peers
- Culture
- Social media
- TV
- Our own experiences
We gathered information — right or wrong — and acted on it.
That was normal for the old life.
But once we became new creations in Christ, everything changed.
We were transferred into a new Kingdom.
We were given a new way of living.
We were instructed to acknowledge Him in all our ways so He could direct our paths.
We were told to trust Him, not our own understanding.
We were promised that He would meet all our needs according to His riches in glory.
He knows what you need before you ask.
He knows your beginning and your end.
He is acquainted with all your ways.
So does He need our help figuring out our situation?
Does He need us to show Him the path?
Take a stroll through Job 38–41 and be reminded of who He is.
Now that we are born again, our spirit — not our soul — should be in charge.
Our soul (mind, will, emotions) used to run the show before Jesus.
But now, we must train our spirit to lead and bring our soul into alignment with the Word.
Learn to live differently.
Learn to live victoriously.
God is counting on you to walk in the new life He gave you.
Satan is counting on you to stay the same.
The Heart Check
- What are you counting on — your old ways or God’s ways?
- Who is really in charge — your spirit or your soul?
- Are you living transformed, or just informed?
- Are you trusting Him, or still trying to figure everything out yourself?
Look at your life.
Be honest.
Make the shift.
